Let’s get started with Obscura Midrange (esper for all you older players), with a nice little curve here. The objective of this deck is to use the ultimate power of the new and improved Raffine, Scheming Seer. The connive mechanic is actually actually nuts with this guy. So if you have a wider board which we try to achieve with a load of creatures like spirited companion, tenacious underdog, and wedding announcement. By the time you’re swinging either with Raffine or more preferably an unblockable ninja from Kaito Shizuki.. We’ve got the early spirit companion that helps smooth out our draws. Tenacious underdog, which is just absolutely crazy for a 3/2 for two that can come back later and draws you a card. Onto Obscura Interceptor, now the four mana can be a little awkward but this card is probably one of the best tempo cards I’ve seen in a long time. So if you’re on turn four and you’ve got both The Wandering Emperor and Obscura Interceptor you’ve got options. On our top end we’ve got Emeria’s Call, it’s normally just the 25th land in the deck but there are times where you get those 4/4 angels out on the board. Pretty basic on the lands four of the new tri land because cycling is awesome and being able to have esper colors (Raffine’s Tower).
